SSQ - Playback

LA’s SSQ was the short lived synth pop brain child of guitarist/keyboardist Jon St. James and vocalist Stacey Swain, who might be more recognizable by her stage name, Stacey Q. Before Stacey’s success as a solo artist with dance club hit Two Of Hearts in 1986, she was the singer of SSQ. Strange Disc Records is proud to announce the re-release of SSQ’s only full length studio LP - Playback, which was originally released in 1983 by Enigma/EMI America.

Strange Disc presents the album reissued in its original version with an exclusive bonus track added to the end of each side of the LP. This reissue edition is available in two different colored vinyl variants, as well as standard black vinyl. The packaging includes never before seen pictures from the collection of the band and extensive liner notes from Stacey Q and Strange Disc Records owner, Cameron Dean.
